Open opportunity for an individual with knowledge of statutes and regulations relating to professions licensed by the board; knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment; and knowledge of computer applications. Candidate must have the ability to interpret, explain and apply statutes and regulations; communicate effectively; compose correspondence; make routine decisions; and maintain effective working relationships.

This is a full-time benefit eligible position, located in Jefferson City. Starting Salary: $29,212


Position Details

This position is responsible for reviewing applications for licensure; determining authenticity of documents; ensuring statutory requirements are satisfied; and entering information into the licensing system. This position is also responsible for assisting with continuing education audits; investigating PROMO complaint related entries; recording daily cash receipts; assisting with sunshine law requests; attending board meetings; and preparing and scanning documents into the imaging system. Successful candidate must be able to perform difficult licensure work involving independent responsibility for complex licensing functions; respond to written and verbal inquiries regarding requirements for licensure, continuing professional education and the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the board. Successful candidate must excel at organizing workflow; establishing priorities and deadlines; and maintaining confidentiality.



  • One or more years of experience as a Processing Technician I; OR
  • Three or more years of experience in processing claims or licensure applications or reviewing legal documentation

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the areas of business or public administration may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.)
